On Good Friday 1994, Catherine was blessed with a vision after an exercise class she was taking to heal her depression. Her husband encouraged her to go, and she went even though she didn't feel like it. The instructor was particularly negative that day, talking about all the bad news in the world, and the music was not uplifting. Catherine found herself wishing she was not in that environment. The t-shirt of the woman in front of her caught her eye, which read "His pain, our gain." She was just starting to grow closer to Jesus through Christian music and bible study, and felt drawn to refocusing her attention on Jesus- despite the environment. In her 10 minute drive home, God showed Catherine the vision for a Christian wellness center. When arriving home, her husband noticed a difference in her, and they spent over an hour talking as she explained all of the details of this vision.
This vision is what is now coming to life at The Well.
The purpose of The Well Christian Center is to serve the Lord and our community by providing an inter-denominational space as a center for spiritual growth, healing within the whole person, fellowship, and wellness through Christ Jesus, thereby nourishing the temple of the Holy Spirit and building up the Body of Christ. This refreshing and renewing of the person will be accomplished through prayer ministry, counseling, physical rehabilitation and wellness, education, nutrition, and exercise classes, bible studies, and dynamic child care.
